The Vermont House of Representatives passed a house resolution on February 27, 2007 to honor Vermont wood artisans, with special regards to the 2006 Design Competition winners and 2006 Woodworker of the Year, Janet Collins. There will be a rotating Vermont wood products showcase on the second floor lobby of the Vermont Statehouse. Take a tour today!


$450,000 Awarded to Vermont Wood Product Organizations

The Vermont Council on Rural Development (VCRD) announced on November 27, 2006 that a second year of funding under a $1,000,000 Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant will be awarded to the Vermont Wood Manufacturers Association (VWMA) and the Vermont Wood Products Marketing Council (VWPMC)

Art Fits Vermont:
A Statewide Community Arts Project

Art Fits Vermont is the Vermont Arts Council's new statewide community arts project.  Over the next two years, 60,000 Vermonters will create and celebrate art using wood and paper puzzle pieces. The wood pieces are 15"x15" oak laminate produced by the Vermont Wood Manufacturers Association.
